Author of Teen Book ‘Smashed’ to Speak at University of La Verne

What: The University of La Verne is hosting an author event and book signing presenting the new novel Smashed by Lisa Luedeke. Admission to this event is free, and educators, community members, parents, and teens are welcome.

Lisa Luedeke’s debut novel Smashed, is a gripping story about a teen girl who is given the opportunity to leave her small town behind after receiving a field hockey scholarship for college. But her dreams of attending college and playing field hockey are threatened when she makes one impulsive decision.

When: Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. (event and book signing)

Where: University of La Verne’ Campus Center Ballroom
1950 Third Street, La Verne, Calif.

Info: Refreshments will be served and five free signed copies of the book will be raffled off at the event.

Parking will be available at the university shuttle lot at the south end of A Street (Carson Industries lot) directly south of Arrow highway, where a shuttle will be available to provide transportation to the Campus Center.
