What: University of La Verne students and alumni are invited to participate in the annual Career Services hybrid career and internship fair April 2 through April 4, 2013.
Career services staff have organized a drop-in fair to take place in the Sara and Michael Abraham Campus Center April 2, 2013 and a 24 hour online virtual fair April 3 through April 4, 2013.
Participating companies will include Frito-Lay, Target, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles Unified School District and several others.
“University of La Verne’s Career Services staff strives for effective ways to serve our students, assisting them in using their education to be competitive in our current job market,” Career Services Director Paula Verdugo said.
Preparation events, which include a resume review section, will help students prepare for interviews, make the most of the career fair and learn their network style.
Career Services is also hosting preparation events, which will be held Monday, March 25 through Thursday, March 28, 2013.
Students who would like to participate in the career fair are required to come prepared wearing business attire, with multiple copies of their resumes and with the ability to “sell themselves” in five minutes.
