President Pardis Mahdavi

I am humbled and honored to lead the University of La Verne, an institution that embodies the mission of higher education to engage social transformation and uphold democracy. This mission and our core values — lifelong learning, ethical reasoning, civic and community engagement, and diversity and inclusivity —unites our stakeholders and communities and allows us to create lasting impacts.

Our collective impact at the University of La Verne reverberates throughout countless communities, companies, corporations, and non-profit institutions that our more than 89,000 graduates have been prepared to enter and transform.  The university is ranked sixth nationally for social mobility of students by U.S. News & World Report and among the top 10 best private national universities in California. From digital media and business to health administration and law, our students are equipped and inspired to meet both international and regional challenges and demands.

With distinguished faculty, who are experts and practitioners in their fields, and outstanding staff support, students have many opportunities to pursue knowledge and truth relentlessly; be curious about the world; and provide service and uphold access and excellence in all they do. The University of La Verne is undoubtedly the model for higher education in the 21st century.

I am thrilled to be a part of the bright future of this remarkable institution, and I invite you to explore our offerings and join us!
