Mark Matzaganian received a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies from Cal Poly Pomona, a Master's Degree in Higher Education from Claremont Graduate University, and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from the University of La Verne. He served as a college administrator for ten years before becoming a member of the University of La Verne faculty in 2003. During that time, he gained experience in registration, advising, credentialing, accreditations, and community service.

In his current capacity, Dr. Matzaganian serves as Director of Teaching Standards for the College of Education and Organizational Leadership and teaches in the Master's of Education, Special Emphasis program. His scholarly interests include visionary leadership, higher education administration, and the role of research in education.

Dr. Matzaganian lives in Upland, CA with his wife, Kim, and two children, Austin and Kayley. He enjoys a wide variety of outdoor activities including fly fishing, running, bicycling, golf, tennis, water and snow skiing, hiking, backpacking, and nature photography.
