The University of La Verne is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) to offer associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. La Verne’s main campus, law campus, nine regional campuses, and satellite locations are all fully accredited by WASC, one of the six regional accrediting bodies. A full list of the accredited locations is available on WASC’s La Verne webpage under the Locations tab. In addition to all inclusive regional accreditation by WASC, many of La Verne’s programs are separately accredited by accrediting bodies in their fields.
The University was first accredited in 1955. WASC most recently reaffirmed La Verne’s accreditation on July 10, 2012, for a period of eight years. In reaffirming the University’s accreditation, the WASC Commission made four recommendations and scheduled La Verne’s next comprehensive review site visit for 2020. In addition, the Commission scheduled an interim report for fall 2014. The Commission’s July 2012 letter as well as the report of the Visiting Team to La Verne in March 2012 are publicly available on WASC’s University of La Verne webpage.
