Our Digital Communications team develops university-wide web standards and assists academic and administrative units in developing user-centric websites that effectively communicate department goals. The University of La Verne’s digital presence serves as the public face of the University, and is vital in helping the institution achieve its mission and goals. Upon your request we will provide Website Design, WordPress training, and assist with site maintenance, and offer social media training and consultation.
Web Design Process
Website production includes sitemap and wireframe development, homepage and interior page design, programming, and quality assurance testing. If we are redesigning an existing website, it is critical that your team or department evaluates the site’s content to eliminate redundant or unnecessary material.
Your project begins with filling out the website design request form. Once the form is completed, we will contact you to discuss the scope of the project and your desired schedule. We will prepare cost estimates and agreements for projects that require external vendors.
Need help updating text or graphics on your existing site? Please complete our web maintenance request form and a member of our Digital Communications team will reach out to you to support your request.
Want to avoid multiple Web Maintenance Requests? Schedule a WordPress training with one of our Digital Communications team members today to learn how you can quickly and easily update your web pages.
The Digital Communications team purges expired sites every quarter (in March, June, September, and December). Purged sites cannot be restored.
Please note that requests for new website design takes a minimum of three to six months to complete, depending on the site’s complexity and the team’s production schedule.
Maintenance requests take from three days to three weeks to complete, depending on the complexity of the request.
