Landis Leadership Scholars (LLS)

Are you a top leader? How about the top 10%?

Landis Leadership Scholars (LLS) Program:
The Landis Leadership Scholars Program is our #1 LEAD Program!

This program is a yearlong time commitment that recognizes the top 1% of student leaders at the University of La Verne. LLS students demonstrate excellence in leadership, services, and/or academics.

As an LLS Student:
Students selected to be a part of the program are awarded a leadership scholarship of approximately $4,000-6,000 (subject to current market conditions).

The program is designed to offer a classroom-based theoretical and applied experience for students seeking a better understanding of leadership. The first semester of the program focuses primarily on leadership theory and the second semester on the application of theory through aiding the directing the First Year Experience program.

In order to qualify, participating students must meet and maintain a minimum cumulative and semester GPA of 3.0 or better, a class standing of Junior or Senior (as determined by the University's academic policies), and a willingness to assume and maintain a leadership role within the First Year Experience program.

The program is limited to two full years of involvement. Students accepted into the program must be willing to make a consecutive, two-semester commitment.

For more information about the Landis Leadership Scholars program, contact the Office of Student Life at 909.593.3511, Ext. 4485.
