Making It Reign

La Verne president Devorah Lieberman, far right, and others from the university accept a $5,000 check for the University of La Verne’s Student Emergency Loan Fund from Laura Tolbirt (third from left), Director of Public Relations/Community/Corporate Media Relations for the Ontario Reign hockey team, on the steps of Founders Hall.

The fund is designed to provide small, short-term, interest-free loans for La Verne students facing a crisis or emergency.

Joining President Lieberman, on behalf of the university are, from left, Maxtla Benavides, Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management Fred Chyr, school mascot Leo, Vice Provost Homa Shabahang, and student Sarah Prosenko.
