Transfer Admit Day

Thursday, June 20, 3:00–5:00pm

Congratulations, once again on being admitted to the University of La Verne! Get ready to embark on a journey that entails: easy access to faculty, small class sizes, a student body who is waiting for you to join the community and caring staff and faculty who want to see you succeed. To give you insight on what to expect at La Verne as not only a student but as a member of the Leo Family, we invite you to join us for Transfer Admit Day. Here, you will learn about academics, student life, financial aid and transferring course work, all while mingling with your fellow, potential classmates.

Overview

  • Academics: Classrooms are not lectures and you are not a number. Classes are learning environments and you have a name… and an identity! Hear about how La Verne’s small classroom setting (19 students on average per class) transforms your learning experience and have the option to observe a class.
  • Adjusting to La Verne: Transitioning from a large, commuter college to a small, partially residential campus definitely has its advantages. Learn where you fit on campus, hear about clubs and organizations, athletics, living on campus and other opportunities.
  • Transferring Course Work: Make the time you spent at your former college count! We will ensure you understand your transfer report (WebbCAPP) and teach you how to get the most credits transferred to the University.
  • Financial Aid: The cost of a private school education can be intimidating, but La Verne can provide aid to make it affordable. Make sure La Verne is on your FAFSA to be eligible for the max amount of financial aid, then hear about how to understand your financial aid package and the actual cost of attending La Verne.
  • Directions and Parking: Complimentary parking with be available. Parking information will be e-mailed to you once you have submitted your RSVP.  View the campus map for more details.
