We are committed to providing students with a welcoming and inclusive support environment where students can strive for academic and career success. We are actively involved on and off campus to ensure that advising and career services meet the best practice standards in higher education (see our <em>National Footprint<\/em> section below).<\/p>\n<p>Some administrative responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assigning students with faculty or professional academic advisors in each field of study.<\/li>\n<li>Provide administrative and advising support to traditional-age students and their advisors.<\/li>\n<li>Support students with academic and financial aid appeals.<\/li>\n<li>Faculty support on issues related to academic discipline, classroom conduct, and grade disputes.<\/li>\n<li><span>Assisting the Offices of the President, Provost, and Faculty Governance (including faculty and professional academic advisors) with academic advising and policy inquiries, including the interpretation and application of these policies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Support students&#8217; academic and career and vocational preparedness (Academic &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/laverne.edu\/careers\/\">Career Services<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/cic.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/NetVUE-Flyer-2024-25.pdf\">NetVUE<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li><span>Workshops, fairs, and events that support the mission of Academic &amp; Career Services. Your checklist will guide you through the course registration process and will include submitting your top three FLEX options (fall freshmen only) as well as signing up for an appointment with an academic advisor.<\/p>\n<h5>Graduate Students, Main Campus<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Main campus graduate students are advised by the faculty program chairperson for their respective program and are supported by <a href=\"https:\/\/laverne.edu\/grad-services\">Graduate Academic Services<\/a>.
