Safety Rules
- Beverages and food are not to be in close proximity to computers.
- No smoking in the Academic Success Center.
- All injuries occurring in the Academic Success Center should be reported immediately to the Director and/or Assistant Director of the Academic Success Center.
- Damaged carpeting that may result in injury should be reported to the Director and/or Assistant Director of the Academic Success Center immediately.
- Loose wires, cords, telephone cords will not be placed in areas where people walk. Any such wires or cords will be reported to the Director and/or Assistant Director of the Academic Success Center immediately.
- File drawers are not to be left open at any time, and only one file drawer in a cabinet may be open at a time.
- Attempting to repair computer equipment is not allowed. Report any problems to the Director and/or Assistant Director of the Academic Success Center.
- Never stand on a chair with wheels to reach something on a high shelf.
- Be sure that someone else is present when standing on an object to reach something on a high shelf.
- Household type extension cords will never be used. Only industrial type power surge adapters are to be used.
- All lights, computers, and printers are to be turned off at the end of the working day.
