  1. A personal interview (in-person interview for local students; by video conference for out-of-area students or international students)

  3. An overall GPA of 3.0 or above with a required GPA of 3.0 or above for the last 60 semester units of undergraduate study, and a GPA of 3.0 for any graduate study
  4. A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  5. Two reference letters attesting to the applicant’s academic and professional competency (One academic, one professional recommendation are required)
  6. A statement of purpose that includes an articulation of what is social justice in the context of higher education, why you are a fit for this program, a description of any social justice work experience in higher education, and a listing of short and long term goals

Additional requirements for international students:

  1. Language proficiency (TOEFL IBT 80, IELTS 6.5, ELS level 112, or equivalent)

The following items are required for an I-20 student visa:

  1. Financial statement (within the last 6 months)
  2. Bank statement (within the last 6 months)
  3. Copy of passport
