Mind, Body, Spirit

Mind, Body, Spirit is a program of the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life and the Center for Neurodiversity, Learning and Wellness.  The program provides opportunities to quiet the mind, relieve stress, and cultivate compassion through meditation and mindfulness practices.

Weekly Group Meditation

You are invited to join a 30-minute meditation.  No experience is required. Instructions and guidance will be provided, along with meditation pillows and cushions for those who prefer to sit on the ground. Meditations will be held in the Interfaith Chapel.

Every Tuesday (12:00 – 12:30 pm) led by Big Owen, Interfaith Chapel

Every Thursday (4:30 – 5:00 pm) led by Dr. Ali Mossaver-Rahmani, Interfaith Chapel

Energy Balancing Sessions

Energy Balancing Sessions are led by Dr. Niki Elliott.  Please bring a yoga mat (or blanket), journal, pen, and water.  Chairs are always available for those who prefer sitting in a chair.

Sept 5, 2018: Equanimity (Even-mindedness, especially under extreme stress)

October 10, 2018: Compassion (Non-judgemental kindness toward self and others)

November 7, 2018: Authenticity (Courage to align choices with one’s inner truth)

December 5, 2018: Attunement (A harmonious state that can be shared with others)

Self-Guided Morning Meditation

This is a dedicated time for self-led prayer and meditation. The chapel will be prepared with a calming atmosphere for people to participate in personal prayer or meditation. You can come at any time and sit for just a few minutes or you can come for the entire half-hour.
