The <em>Interfaith Fellows<\/em> play a crucial role in the University\u2019s interfaith initiative by creating and implementing interfaith programming. The <em>Interfaith Fellows<\/em> also build relationships with interfaith partners on and off campus, work closely with religious, philosophical, interfaith and multicultural clubs, and develop resources to support interfaith activities and cooperation on campus. <em>Interfaith Fellows<\/em> carry an important role on campus, advocating for diversity, respect, understanding, social justice, and compassion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supervision<\/strong>:The Interfaith Fellow\u2019s supervision is from the Office of Inclusive Excellence &amp; Mission Integration.<\/p>\n<h3>Perks! Each Interfaith Fellow will engage in this experience for an average of 4 hours\/week during the academic year. Please note that intense programming weeks will require more than four hours; however, other weeks may have only one hour. Interfaith Fellows will meet for weekly meetings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Instructions:<\/strong> You can apply for Interfaith Fellows through Campus Labs. \u00a0Applications will be open in early February each year. \u00a0You will be required to submit a resume and a response to the six Application Questions listed below. \u00a0If you have additional questions, please email <span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Inclusive Excellence &amp; Mission Integration <\/span>at <a href=\"iemi@laverne.edu\">&#105;&#101;&#109;i&#64;l&#97;&#118;erne.&#101;du<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Application Questions<\/h3>\n<p>For each question, please answer fully and completely. Please take note of the word count minimums. You can write as much as you\u2019d like for each question, but you must meet the word count minimums.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Why are you personally committed to interfaith dialogue and cooperation both at La&nbsp;Verne and in our world? Why do you consider this work valuable, necessary and meaningful? (minimum word count: 250)<\/li>\n<li>Why do you want to be a La&nbsp;Verne Interfaith Scholar? What skills, qualities, gifts and experience do you possess that qualify you for this position? (minimum word count: 250)<\/li>\n<li>What kinds of programs, projects or initiatives would you like to work on as an Interfaith Fellow? (minimum word count: 100)<\/li>\n<li>What experience have you had in the past that involves diversity, inclusivity, and\/or interfaith engagement? (minimum word count: 250)<\/li>\n<li>What other obligations will you have for the 2020-21 academic school year (please include employment, club &amp; org involvement, academic workload, etc.)? (no minimum word count)<\/li>\n<li>Interfaith Fellows carry an important role on our campus, advocating for diversity, respect, understanding, social justice, and compassion. Given the importance, we ask that Interfaith Fellows make this role a priority for the 2020-21 academic year, which requires your commitment and energy.
