This year we will be using e-tickets, which means that students will be able to print out their tickets from anywhere, including home. Due to this being a new experience, only physical tickets will be accepted, not digital tickets. Please ensure to give yourself ample time to print your tickets. Will call services will not be provided.
Each graduating student participating in a Winter Commencement Ceremony is eligible to print a maximum of five (5) general guest tickets for entrance into the Sports Science and Athletics Pavilion. In order to print guest tickets, students must fill out the Student Participation Form starting November 9, 2018 through January 21, 2019. After successfully submitting the participation form, students will receive an email confirmation that their form was received. Only students that submit the Student Participation Form and are cleared to graduate will have access to their tickets.
Guest Ticket Distribution
On December 14, 2018, students will be sent a link to their La Verne email where they can access their tickets. Tickets must be printed by January 21, 2019. Each ticket will have a unique barcode which can only be scanned once for entry into the ceremony. Attempting to use duplicate tickets of the original will not gain you access to the venue.
Important: If students do not submit the Student Participation Form or print their tickets by the January 21st deadline, they will need to submit an Appeal Form and a $60 late penalty fee to the Commencement Office by 5 PM on January 23, 2019.
The University of La Verne will not permit the sales of guest admittance tickets. Disciplinary action may be taken for those that sell tickets.
Who requires a guest ticket?
Tickets are only required for guests. All guests except children under two years of age will require a guest ticket for admittance into a ceremony. Children two (2) years old and younger must sit on an adult lap for the entirety of the ceremony. Children needing to sit in a regular seat will require a guest ticket. Due to the high volume of expected guests, if guests do not have a ticket or if they have a counterfeit ticket, they will be denied entry.
The Office of Commencement Services will be distributing a limited number of extra tickets on a first-come, first-serve basis. More information to follow on December 14, 2018 on how to request extra tickets. Decisions are based on venue capacity and unclaimed tickets.
