The emphasis is on the unique issues faced by entrepreneurs and small businesses. The course introduces students to essential principles of small business finance, applying general financial theory where applicable as well as focusing on small-business specific issues such as sources of capital.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div><div id=\"promo-69d087c831959\" class=\"slanty-promotion content two-column\">\n\t<div class=\"promo-wrap\">\n\t\t<div class=\"promo-media\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"fas fa-handshake promo-glyph \"><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"content\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"content-wrap\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"promo-headline h2\">\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"orange-bar\">BUS 540: Innovation &#038; Entrepreneurship<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"promo-excerpt\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>This 3-credit master\u2019s-level course provides a comprehensive exposure to the unique dynamics of entrepreneurship including the essential creativity principles, emergent markets, start-up financing, and emergent operations associated with resource-constrained enterprises. The purpose of this course is to develop an awareness of existing business boundaries relative to the unique competitive dynamics of entrepreneurship\/intrapreneurship environment and to develop skills in information access and information needs assessment appropriate to those environments. Specifically, this course is designed to provide exposure to the distinctions of emerging companies and industries.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/aside>\n \n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n<h3>Certificate Programs<\/h3>\n<p>The Center, in conjunction with the University of La&nbsp;Verne, is in the process of developing several entrepreneurship\/social impact-related certificates that will provide meaningful knowledge to professionals and future entrepreneurs who want to gain new skills in these areas.
