Higher Education for the Common Good
How might La Verne’s education empower learners to contribute to and care for the common good?
We invite you to join us to reflect upon our role as an institution of Higher Learning and the common good. Understanding that the University of La Verne remains committed to an education that is guided by its values of ethical reasoning and of civic and community engagement, we are holding an informal conversation with world renowned philosopher and environmentalist Dr. John Cobb. Dr. Cobb is the author of over fifty books. He is best known for his contributions to process studies and ecological civilization. In light of the current global climate and the human crisis now being so evident by the coronavirus pandemic, this opportunity to engage this American scholar-activist is extended to all of us at the University of La Verne.
