Los Hermanos Arango: Workshop and Performance

The University of La Verne presents a free Masterclass and Performance by Los Hermanos Arango (The Arango Siblings). Hailing from Cuba, Los Hermanos Arango are a unique musical group rooted in Afro-Cuban folklore and jazz funk. Since the group formed in 2003, Los Hermanos Arango have recorded four albums and two documentaries. They have performed for audiences around the world, revealing the group’s authentic rhythms through harmony, afro-folkloric drums, and horns.

The album Oro Negro received two CUBADISCO awards. The album Los Hermanos Arango y Las Estrellas del Folklor received three CUBADISCO awards, and the group’s latest album, The Arango’s World, received three CUBADISCO award nominations in 2017. Los Hermanos Arango has performed in Cuba, Canada, Italy, Germany, France, Mexico, and the United States.
