Emergency Assistance for Students

Dear University of La Verne students and community:
The novel coronavirus pandemic has created financial hardships for millions of people, including students at the University of La Verne.
We launched the Student Emergency Fund several weeks ago to provide limited emergency financial assistance to currently-enrolled students who are unable to pay for immediate, essential expenses due to the novel coronavirus. Undergraduate, graduate, and adult learners at the University of La Verne may now apply for grants from the fund online at univ.lv/sef.
Eligible expenses include: traveling home for an emergency; food insecurity; emergency housing or housing insecurity (including utility bills); access to emergency counseling/psychological services; medical; and other unforeseen costs. Grants from the Student Emergency Fund may not be applied toward tuition. Students who need assistance with tuition payments are encouraged to contact Student Accounts or the Financial Aid Office.
Priority in awarding grants from the Student Emergency Fund will be given to students whose progress at the university may be at risk because of unforeseen expenses.
