Spring 2021 Commencement Announcement

Dear University Community,

We invite you to join the University of La Verne’s Spring 2021 Virtual Commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 29, 2021. All four college ceremonies will be live streamed on this day. Ceremony times and details are to be announced.

University of La Verne virtual commencement ceremonies provide a thoughtful, safe, and interactive opportunity for graduates to celebrate their educational accomplishments with the community, at home with unlimited online viewing access. This spring, each graduate will have the opportunity to submit a photo and a brief message that will be shown during their ceremony, as well as the option to enter a private Zoom viewing room to be displayed to the community.  We encourage you to cheer and congratulate the graduates on social media using the hashtags #ULVGrad and #LeosForLife. A social media chat function will populate on the screen during the event.

As referenced in the latest university update, the rate of new COVID-19 cases continues to drop across the state. All of the counties in which the University of La Verne has campuses have exited the most restrictive purple tier of California’s reopening blueprint and moved into the red tier, which allows us to begin phasing in additional on-campus activity over the spring and summer, with a goal of making a full return to our campuses in the fall. With this in mind, the commencement committee is exploring additional activities as permitted by public health agencies.

The link to view the stream and more commencement related information will be accessible by visiting the commencement website: laverne.edu/commencement. If you have any questions, please contact commencement@laverne.edu.

We look forward to celebrating our spring 2021 graduates with you.
