La Verne Chamber Singers and Chorale Present “Heroes & Legends”

The University of La Verne Chamber Singers and University Chorale are set to perform a diverse selection of music from classical, to world and even video game music for the “Heroes & Legends” concert March 5.

The concert features music from history’s best choral composers such as Johannes Brahms, Giuseppe Verde, Claudio Monteverdi and Robert Schuman, said Irene Messoloras, Director of Choral Activities and Vocal Studies.

“There’s something for everyone in this concert,” Messoloras said.

People attending the event can also expect to hear Indian Raga, a genre of Indian classical music, a Celtic piece and German Lieder. The Grammy award-winning “Baba Yetu” from the video game Civilization IV will also be performed.

Cost: Free, but donations accepted.
