The University of La Verne\u2019s Office of Advancement team has been honored with the Council for Advancement and Support of Education\u2019s (CASE) prestigious 2023 Circle of Excellence Gold Award<\/a> for their Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Annual Impact Report publication. The report was applauded for its commitment to sharing student success and fundraising achievements in a beautifully compelling way.<\/p>\n

CASE\u2019s Circle of Excellence Awards are the premier recognition program for educational advancement. These peer-selected and adjudicated awards honor colleges, universities, and schools worldwide whose talented staff have advanced their institutions with resourceful\"Annualness and ingenuity. In 2023, teams from 583 institutions in nearly 22 countries entered the awards, submitting 4,021 entries<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The winning report\u2019s overarching theme is centered around \u201cThe Impact of You\u201d<\/a> and shares insight into donor and student stories in a way that highlights more than static facts and figures. Their nomination statement expresses that the report aimed to express gratitude and, \u201ccreate a narrative of who their donors are, how they give, and the impact they have had on students and the institution through storytelling.\u201d<\/p>\n

In judging the report, the panel shared that the publication entry was, \u201can engaging, succinct report, with a lot of information shared in a relatively short publication\u2014every element was intentional.\u201d<\/p>\n

Donors were featured at various giving levels, which the judges also felt educated readers on how their gifts impact and foster a \u201cculture of philanthropy.\u201d The report was also commended for its bold colors that drew the reader\u2019s eye into exploring blurbs and features.<\/p>\n

Vice President of University Advancement Sherri Mylott shared how this award, \u201cis continuing evidence that we do excellent work.\u201d She commended her colleagues Lori Tsukamoto, Danielle Anderson, and the entire advancement team for their efforts on the publication. She looks forward to continuing to \u201cmove the mission of the university forward.\u201d<\/p>\n
