{"id":14994,"date":"2025-06-25T13:57:30","date_gmt":"2025-06-25T20:57:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/laverne.edu\/news\/?p=14994"},"modified":"2025-07-08T16:25:56","modified_gmt":"2025-07-08T23:25:56","slug":"university-of-la-verne-appoints-dr-marquisha-frost-as-associate-vice-president-for-inclusive-excellence-and-mission-integration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/laverne.edu\/news\/2025\/06\/25\/university-of-la-verne-appoints-dr-marquisha-frost-as-associate-vice-president-for-inclusive-excellence-and-mission-integration\/","title":{"rendered":"University of La&nbsp;Verne Appoints Dr. Marquisha Frost as Associate Vice President for Inclusive Excellence and Mission Integration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>La&nbsp;Verne, CA<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>\u2014<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>The University of La&nbsp;Verne is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr.<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span>Marquisha Frost as the new Associate Vice President for Inclusive Excellence and Mission<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span>Integration, effective August 4, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span>Dr. Frost brings more than a decade of leadership experience in higher education, nonprofit<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span>strategy, and<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>inclusive excellence.<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>She most recently served as Senior Vice President of Strategic<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span>Engagement and Initiatives and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at the Nebraska Children<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span>and Families Foundation, where she led statewide initiatives to promote equity, well<\/span><span>&#8211;<\/span><span>being, and<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span>sys<\/span><span>temic change.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span>A former adjunct professor at the University of La&nbsp;Verne and Youth Coordinator at the La&nbsp;Verne<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span>Church of the Brethren, Dr. Frost is deeply familiar with the university\u2019s mission and<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>the<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span>surrounding<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>community. Her return marks a homecoming to<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>a campus she describes as having<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span>\u201cLa&nbsp;Verne Magic.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span>In her new role, Dr. Frost will report to the<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>provost<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>and work closely with<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>leadership across<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span>campus<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>on<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>strategic efforts that advance the university\u2019s core values<\/span><span>\u2014<\/span><span>Ethical Reasoning,<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span>Diversity and Inclusiv<\/span><span>ity, Lifelong Learning, and Civic and Community Engagement. She will<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span>oversee several key offices, including Title IX, Civic and Community Engagement, Multicultural<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span>Services<\/span><span>, Religious and Spiritual Life,<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>and<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>the Randall Lewis Center for Well<\/span><span>&#8211;<\/span><span>Being and<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>Research<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span>Dr. Frost holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Claremont Graduate University,<\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span>along with<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>master\u2019s degrees in counseling and education<\/span><span>.
