During the Great Depression, production of<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0Campus Times <\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">temporarily stopped because the funding didn\u2019t exist to publish it.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Darancette said student publications provide an important record of campus life.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cThey capture what students were thinking, debating and experiencing at a specific moment in time,\u201d she said. \u201cDigitization ensures that history is preserved and accessible.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The project includes carefully scanning fragile print editions and organizing them into a searchable online archive.
