Robert E. Weiss, a longtime University of La Verne College of Law adjunct faculty member who taught real estate law, died on May 15 in Santa Barbara. He was 89.<\/p>\n
Weiss, whose career spanned 56 years, partnered with founding Dean Paul Egly in a West Covina law firm before opening his own firm in 1973.<\/p>\n
He was a noted expert in real estate law, and taught the subject at the University of La Verne beginning in the 1970s.<\/p>\n
He moved from West Covina to Santa Ynez in the late 1980s, but continued to commute 2 \u00bd hours to his firm in Covina. He practiced law into his 80s.<\/p>\n
