Please consult your Academic Advisor for detailed Program Requirements and options.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To access MyDegree Tracker:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From any laverne.edu web page, select the &#8220;MyLaVerne&#8221; link from the top right navigation.<\/li>\n<li>Log into MyPortal using your laverne.edu email address (without the @laverne.edu) and password.<\/li>\n<li>From the QuickLinks menu on the left, click on MyDegree Tracker.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>From this screen, you have two options:<\/p>\n<p>Option 1: If you began attending the University of La&nbsp;Verne <strong>prior to<\/strong> Fall 2017, or are following a catalog term of Fall 2017 or earlier, click on the Degree\/Program Evaluation link.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you&#8217;re unsure about what your catalog term is, <a href=\"https:\/\/banweb-l.laverne.edu\/prod\/bwskgstu.P_StuInfo\">click here.<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Above link will require you to be logged into MyLaVerne.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Select the current term.<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down to Curriculum.\u00a0 Your Catalog term will be displayed under your program information.<\/li>\n<li>For more information on the Degree\/Program Evaluation, <a href=\"https:\/\/laverne.edu\/registrar\/faq\/degree-program-evaluation\/\">click here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Option 2:\u00a0If you began attending the University of La&nbsp;Verne in\u00a0\u00a0Fall 2017 or later, or are following a catalog term of Fall 2017 or later, click on the MyDegree Tracker link.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>Frequently Asked Questions:<\/p>\n<table class=\"table article-table\" style=\"height: 1500px\">\n<tbody>\n<tr style=\"height: 75px\">\n<td style=\"width: 25%;text-align: left;height: 75px\"><strong>Q. Who is eligible to use MDT?<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"height: 75px\">A. All students whose first semester of registration was Fall 2017 or later are eligible to use MDT.\u00a0 Students who first registered in Summer 2017 or earlier will continue to use Degree\/Program Evaluation (AKA. CAPP).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 55px\">\n<td style=\"height: 55px\"><strong>Q. How is access to MDT determined?<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"height: 55px\">A. Student access to MDT is usually automatic, upon first login, with initial and continuous enrollment.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 155px\">\n<td style=\"height: 155px\"><strong>Q. I enrolled at La&nbsp;Verne before Fall 2017 and really want to move to MDT. Can I?<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"height: 155px\">A. Students who first registered in Summer 2017 or earlier will only be able to move to MDT by changing their catalog term to Fall 2017 or later.\u00a0 Students who are interested in using MDT should first consult with their academic advisor(s) to begin the process.\u00a0 Changing catalogs may impact major or general education requirements.\u00a0 Traditional undergraduates who want to change catalogs can do so <a href=\"https:\/\/laverne.edu\/advising\/major-minor-advisor-change-form\/\">online<\/a>.\u00a0 ROC or CAPA students should change majors in their respective campuses.\u00a0 Graduate students may not so easily declare a new masters or doctorate degree since admission decisions are program specific; consult with your program advisor.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 95px\">\n<td style=\"height: 95px\"><strong>Q. What is the difference between MDT and the CAPP (Degree\/Program Evaluation) it replaced?<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"height: 95px\">A. MDT and CAPP are both degree audit tools that assist students and academic advisors in tracking degree progress.\u00a0 These degree evaluations differ in functionality and features.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 75px\">\n<td style=\"height: 75px\"><strong>Q. Will the Degree\/Program Evaluation (CAPP) go away with the adoption of MDT?<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"height: 75px\">A. Yes, eventually.\u00a0 The University Registrar and OIT are committed to fully supporting CAPP until the students who are actively enrolled and making progress to graduation continue to use it.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 75px\">\n<td style=\"height: 75px\"><strong>Q. Is MDT the same as an unofficial transcript?<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"height: 75px\">A. MDT is unofficial but it is not a transcript. MDT is not an official document nor does it supersede the University Catalog.\u00a0 Transcripts (official or unofficial) are distinct documents that should be requested from the University Registrar.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 95px\">\n<td style=\"height: 95px\"><strong>Q. What is a &#8220;what if&#8221; audit?<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"height: 95px\">A. &#8220;What if&#8221; audits allow students to compare their current course history to any major, minor, or program that they choose to declare without making any official changes.\u00a0 Students may also project how adding or removing concentrations will affect their degree progress.\u00a0 This tool can be helpful for students who are considering changing majors, but don&#8217;t know how their course history will apply to the new requirements.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 95px\">\n<td style=\"height: 95px\"><strong>Q. Can I print my \u201cwhat if\u201d evaluation?<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"height: 95px\">A. Yes, you can print MyDegree Tracker\u2019s \u201cwhat if\u201d evaluation or save it as PDF to print later.\u00a0 Please note that a PDF copy is a snapshot of fictitious course information for a proposed major at the time of printing.\u00a0 If any information changes\u2014if you decide to not change your major or minor\u2014your PDF or printed copy of your \u201cwhat if\u201d evaluation is of no value.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 95px\">\n<td style=\"height: 95px\"><strong>Q. I ran a \u201cwhat if\u201d new major report and would like to add this new major, can I change it in MDT?<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"height: 95px\">A. Consult with your academic advisor if you choose to declare a new major or minor if you like what you see in a \u201cwhat if\u201d report.\u00a0 Graduate students may not so easily declare a new masters or doctorate degree since admission decisions are program specific; consult with your program advisor.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 75px\">\n<td style=\"height: 75px\"><strong>Q. I just registered for a class but I am not seeing it on the audit.\u00a0 Where is the course?<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"height: 75px\">A. Audits will reflect registration changes overnight.\u00a0 If you still do not see it, please contact your academic advisor.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 95px\">\n<td style=\"height: 95px\"><strong>Q. My academic advisor submitted a substitution form but it is not showing on MDT.\u00a0 Who can help me with this?<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"height: 95px\">A. The Evaluations Office in the Office of the Registrar, receives and processes substitutions within a week of receipt.\u00a0 Changes to the degree audit will not automatically show on MDT.\u00a0 Please allow one business week before checking with your academic advisor or the Evaluations Office about the status of the substitution.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 95px\">\n<td style=\"height: 95px\"><strong>Q. I submitted transfer work but it still doesn\u2019t show on MyDegree Tracker. Who can help me with this?<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"height: 95px\">A. The Office of the Registrar receives and processes transcripts within a week of receipt.\u00a0 Accepted transfer work will not automatically show on MDT.\u00a0 Please allow one business week before checking with your academic advisor or the Registrar about the status of transfer work.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 135px\">\n<td style=\"height: 135px\"><strong>Q. My instructor submitted a grade change but I do not see the new grade on MDT.\u00a0 Who can help me with this?<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"height: 135px\">A. The Office of the Registrar receives undergraduate grade change forms and Graduate Academic Services receives graduate grade change forms.\u00a0 Students will be notified via an email workflow when their grade change has been processed.\u00a0 MDT automatically updates every night and any changes to the degree audit will not immediately show on MDT.\u00a0 Please allow one business week to lapse before checking with your instructor, academic advisor, the University Registrar, or Graduate Academic Services about the grade change.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 75px\">\n<td style=\"height: 75px\"><strong>Q. I think MDT is wrong, who can help me with this error?<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"height: 75px\">A. If you believe there is an error on MDT, consult with your academic advisor.\u00a0 In many cases, your academic advisors may address the concern by explaining a policy or finding a material error that needs correction.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 35px\">\n<td style=\"height: 35px\"><strong>Q. What are the purpose of the [Degree Progress] bars that show &#8220;Requirements&#8221; and &#8220;Semester Hours&#8221;?<\/strong><\/td>\n<td style=\"height: 35px\">The progress bars\u00a0 can be helpful to students and advisors as a quick glance but will not show completion (100%) until all in progress coursework have final grades.\u00a0 Thus, focus more on the detailed requirements to ensure you have completed specific requirements.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 35px\">\n<td style=\"height: 35px\"><\/td>\n<td style=\"height: 35px\"><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"height: 35px\">\n<td
