Deciding to report a crime is a very personal decision. It’s okay to report to police or Campus Safety, not report, or be undecided about reporting. A Victim Advocate can provide all information about reporting so the victim\/ survivor can make an informed decision.<\/p>\n

\n\nLaw Enforcement<\/h3>\n
\nIf you wish to proceed with a criminal case, a law enforcement agency can take a report, and provide access to medical care after an assault of sexual violence or domestic violence. Police Departments are available 24\/7 by dialing 911.<\/p>\n
Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, and Stalking incidents can be reported at any time, immediately after the incident, days later or even years afterward. However, the statute of limitations varies depending on factors such as type of crime, by state and amount of time that has passed. A Victim Advocate or Law Enforcement officer can provide you with specific information and guidance.<\/p>\n
