Did you know that many college students struggle with having enough food to eat? It’s a bigger issue than you might think. In fact, college students are 1.5-4 times more likely to experience food insecurity than the national average. That’s where the Leo Food Pantry comes in. As part of the Campaign for Basic Needs Relief, we’re here to help tackle food insecurity and make sure no student goes hungry on campus.<\/span><\/p>\n

How it Works<\/h2>\n

Getting food assistance from the Leo Food Pantry is easy! You can request a food bag any time to pick up during our monthly distribution. We offer four types of food bags: Regular, Vegetarian, Kosher, and Halal. Each bag has nonperishable foods, and fresh produce may be available throughout the year thanks to donations from the community.<\/p>\n

Some of the food in your bag might need a can opener, stove, or microwave to prepare. Don’t worry if you don’t have these at home! You can grab a can opener from the Leo Food Pantry, or use the ones available at Barb’s Place, Citrus Residence Hall Kitchenette, Vista Residence Hall Lounge, or the Randall Lewis Center.<\/p>\n

Request a Food Bag<\/a><\/p>\n

The food pantry will be distributing food bags during the following dates during the 2024-2025 academic year:<\/p>\n

September 2-5, 2025<\/p>\n

October 6-10, 2025<\/p>\n

November 10-14, 2025 (closed on November 11)<\/p>\n

December 1-12, 2025<\/p>\n

January 20-13, 2026<\/p>\n

February 17-20, 2026<\/p>\n

March 23-27, 2026<\/p>\n

April 20-24, 2026<\/p>\n

May 18-29, 2026<\/p>\n
