The University of La Verne has just officially signed on to the Green Billion Dollar Challenge<\/strong>, becoming only the second California University to do so (the other is the California Institute of Technology).<\/p>\n

La Verne joins 39 other North American colleges and universities participating in the challenge, which was initiated by the Sustainable Endowments Institute in October 2011.<\/p>\n

By signing up, La Verne commits to establishing a Green Revolving Fund which will be used to fund green, sustainable projects that will reduce the university\u2019s carbon footprint.<\/p>\n
