Ann Schultz is a graduate of the University of Southern California Primary Care Physician Assistant Program with 44 years of clinical experience. She began her career as a respiratory therapist at Torrance Memorial Hospital in the 1970s and moved to Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach in 1990, a teaching hospital affiliated with University of California, Irvine’s Pediatric Residency Program, and the University of California at Los Angeles Peds ICU Fellowship Program.

Ms. Schultz worked in the Pediatric ICU and Neonatal ICU for 10 years where she was voted Distinguished Employee of the Year at Long Beach Memorial/Miller Children’s Hospital in 1992. Since graduating from the University of Southern California Primary Care Physician Assistant Program in 1997, she has worked in clinical practice with the medically underserved in the East Los Angeles area in Family Medicine with an emphasis in pediatrics and women’s health. She began teaching, as a clinical preceptor, in 1982 and continued until she accepted an appointment to full-time teaching in the Primary Care PA Program at the University of Southern California in 2007.

While at USC, she continued her education receiving a Master of Academic Medicine degree from Keck. She moved to the Western University of Health Sciences Physician Assistant Program as a full-time Assistant Professor in 2014 and continued there until joining the University of La Verne PA Program in 2021 as program director and department chair. In addition to teaching and clinical practice Ms. Schultz is a Major in the United States Army Reserve, assigned to an airbase in Bavaria. She has been a volunteer member with the Medical Reserve Corp of Los Angeles County since its inception in 2003 as a result of the events of September 11, 2001 and served as a member of the Advisory Board for LA County Public Health Department since 2009.
