Dr. Candace Singh
Clinical Professor, Leadership & Special Advisor to the Dean
Dr. Candy Singh’s career has spanned 33 years in K-12 and higher education. She currently serves as Professor of Leadership, Superintendent in Residence, and Director of the Center for Educational Leadership at the University of La Verne. Prior to retiring from K-12 education, she served as a school district superintendent for 12 years and was recently honored with the California 2022 Exemplary Woman in Education Award from the Association of California School Administrators.
Throughout her career, Candy has held various roles, including teacher, assistant principal, principal, district curriculum leader, and superintendent of schools. She also taught in the College of Education at Cal State University San Marcos for 20 years. Following her retirement from K-12 education, Candy remains actively involved in shaping the national public education landscape through inspirational keynote speeches, leadership development programs, and executive coaching.
As a first-generation college graduate, Candy earned a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from San Diego State University, a Master’s degree in Educational Administration, and a doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of La Verne. Her research focuses on leadership practices that enhance employee effectiveness and job satisfaction.
