Business executive and philanthropist Randall Lewis generously donated to the University of La Verne for the formation of the Randall Lewis Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Social Impact. He also has funded The Randall Lewis Center for Well-Being and Research at the University of La Verne. Lewis oversees sales and marketing at the Lewis Group of Companies, a family-owned business that has grown into one of the nation’s leading private real estate development firms focused on developing mixed-used planned communities and residential subdivisions in California and Nevada, as well as building and owning rental communities, shopping centers, and office and industrial parks. Lewis received his B.A. from Claremont McKenna College and received an honorary doctorate degree in 2021 from Cal State University, San Bernardino, as well as receiving an additional honorary doctorate from the University of La Verne in 2022. He graciously donated to University of La Verne, Chaffey College and Claremont McKenna College to create a network of centers of entrepreneurship in the region. In addition, Lewis created, in partnership with Partners for Better Health, the Randall Lewis Health & Policy Fellowship, which places masters- and doctoral-level students in health and related disciplines with cities, agencies, businesses, health systems, local not-for-profits and county departments of public health. Lewis is a recognized supporter of the arts, education, healthy living and sustainable development initiatives. He served 12 years on the executive board of the Southern California Association of Governments and is a member of the Southern California Leadership Council. Randall is past trustee of the Urban Land Institute and is a current governor of the Urban Land Institute Foundation. Lewis is involved with the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy, as well as the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs.
