Meet This is Victor Martinez, a self-employed tax accountant, he is the CEO of his own income tax company. Victor graduated from the University of La Verne in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. After college, he worked for an accounting firm until 1998 and later launched his self-employed career and steadily grew his business by establishing networking groups. Through his experience, he developed into a strong public speaker which has prepared him to become the confident business coach he is today.
Victor currently does tax preparation for individuals but also specializes in business tax preparation, including corporations and non-profit organizations. He has now expanded his services to include accounting, payroll and entity formation. The time he spent studying at the University of La Verne allowed him to develop the discipline to always continue learning, which has aided him in the development of his successful career as an entrepreneur. He believes he can only provide the best possible service by remaining teachable despite the vast knowledge and experience he continues to acquire over the years. Despite all his accomplishments, Victor is most proud of the work he does giving back to his community. He volunteers with a vast number of non-profit organizations located in the San Fernando Valley including but not limited to the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission and the San Fernando Valley Veterans Day Parade. He is always happy to help and mentor others as well as offer guidance to fellow tax professionals.
Victor’s career path was not strategically planned, circumstances determined his future in business when an opportunity fell upon him. Someone he knew needed help with bookkeeping and so he “took some classes and ran with it.” He found that just about everyone needs to file taxes and he can help them stay compliant with their filings. He provides a service that helps businesses prepare for success by ensuring they keep their financial records prepared for audits and presentations to banks and other financial institutions. Now, Victor’s journey has led him to be very proud of his work as well as extremely involved and connected in his community. He is a proud member of the Oddfellows, and he is proud to be the incoming 2025 President of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, he is the first non -realtor to serve as president. Lastly, the inspiring message Victor would like to share with others who also want to be successful entrepreneurs is this quote, “It’s what you learn after you know it all that counts” – John R Wooden.
