La Verne Symphony Orchestra: 2024 Winter Concert

The La Verne Symphony Orchestra is excited to present our 2024 WINTER CONCERT, under the baton of Music Director and Conductor, Dr. Sylvia Lee Mann. Join us on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, at 4:00 pm (doors open at 3:30 pm) for an exciting musical experience!

Featuring the timeless works of Bach, Beach, Bizet, Dvořák, Jenkins, Rimsky-Korsakov, and more, this concert promises to be a truly unforgettable evening, offering something for everyone to enjoy!

The repertoire includes

  • Finale (mvt IV) from the Symphony No. 9 (“The New World”) – Dvořák
  • Fugue in G minor (“Little”) – J.S. Bach
  • Bal Masque – Amy Beach
  • Palladio – Karl Jenkins
  • Intermezzo from “Cavalleria Rusticana” – P. Mascagni
  • Farandole, from “L’Arlésienne” – G. Bizet
  • Dance of the Tumblers, from “The Snow Maiden” – N. Rimsky-Korsakoff

The concert will be held in the beautiful Morgan Auditorium, Founders Hall, University of La Verne. 1950 Third St, La Verne, CA 91750.

Free admission, $10 donation appreciated, Reception follows.

The La Verne Symphony Orchestra is a University of La Verne musical ensemble, established in collaboration with the La Verne community. Student, Faculty, Staff and Community musicians join together, bringing inspiring and uplifting music to our community.
