Studio Focus – COLOR!

The Department of Art, Art History, and Photography is very excited to present Studio Focus COLOR!, an installation of student works from Art 360 Painting 1 Spring 2025. Each student created a unique experience using acrylic paint on canvas. Their painting approaches share a common thread of expressive color and embrace the technique of layering both imagery and abstraction.

These paintings are inviting and present delightful surprises. When viewing this exhibition, one can enjoy the idiosyncrasies of each canvas – energetic gestures, carefully rendered flowers, intricate patterns, and breathtaking atmospheres. Variations in hue, translucency, and texture emphasize the moods and environments of these rich, imaginary spaces.
