Getting an I-20 from La Verne

Applying from outside the U.S.

  1. Submit your application for admission.
  2. Receive your admission decision letter.
  3. Pay your confirmation deposit through your Admissions Portal.
  4. Check your email for I-20 application instructions, including how to upload required documents (financial statement, passport, sponsor affidavit, etc.).
    1. Review the acceptable proof of funding guidelines.
  5. International Services and Study Abroad will notify you by email once your I-20 is ready.

Applying within the U.S.

  1. Submit your application for admission.
  2. Receive your admission decision letter.
  3. Pay your confirmation deposit through your Admissions Portal.
  4. Check your email for I-20 application instructions, including how to upload required documents (financial statement, passport, sponsor affidavit, copy of F-1 visa, etc.).
      1. Review the acceptable proof of funding guidelines.
  5. International Services and Study Abroad will notify you by email once your I-20 is ready.

Additional Information

  • If you are transferring your active SEVIS record from another U.S. SEVIS approved institution, review the Transfer Instructions for details on how to request your I-20.
  • Important: Register for classes only after you have submitted your I-20 documents and received confirmation that your I-20 will be issued.
