More than 45 years ago, the University of La Verne recognized colleges and universities were ignoring the educational needs of adult learners.
The Campus Accelerated Program for Adults (CAPA) addresses these needs by offering both full-time and part-time bachelor degree programs that are friendly to the schedules of busy adults. These programs also feature a streamlined admission process.
Online, on-campus, and hybrid course options allow students to create their own flexible schedule. Evening classes meet once a week for either a 10 or 16 week period. There are also weekend classes, which meet on Friday evenings and Saturdays during the day for five weekends.
Students can transfer up to 88 credit hours towards their degree from a variety of sources such as previous college classes, DANTES and CLEP credit-by-examination tests, AP exams, or military service.
CAPA is available in the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Many majors listed can be completed in either the evening or combination of evening and weekend formats. Students also have the flexibility to change their major at any time. Additional majors are available for those able to attend daytime courses.
