Socrates’ Café, Emerson on Faith and Inspiration

You are invited to join this semester’s Socrates’ Café, Emerson on Faith and Inspiration on April 11, 2 -3 pm in the Quay Davis Boardroom, featuring Dr. Dan Campana, Professor of Philosophy and Religion.  Dr. Campana will discuss his new book, The Faith of Emerson: American Transcendentalism, Kantian Epistemology, and Vedantic Thought, with a special focus on inspiration: “the necessary ingredient that carries a researcher from curiosity to commitment.  This kind of inspiration is what turns an intellectual exercise into a passion; it transforms a senior project or a graduate school dissertation from a requirement to a mission.”  Sponsored by the Philosophy and Religion Department.
