The University of La Verne, in association with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), offers a 39-hour virtual instructor led program designed for HR professionals and specialists looking to keep current and/or develop their careers in the area of human resources. It provides expert instruction with the SHRM Learning System and covers areas including, but not limited to, employment law and regulations, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, and employee engagement. The program is designed to help candidates assume a more strategic leadership position and perform more effectively as they work toward earning a credential recognized worldwide for its focus on behavior competencies as well as technical knowledge in Human Resources. Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive a “Certificate of Course Completion” from the University of La Verne as well as one directly from SHRM.
Individuals who intend to sit for either the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exam given twice a year must be Human Resource professionals and meet the qualifications set forth by SHRM.
