The Educational Effectiveness Committee at the University of La Verne cultivates a collegial learning community that strengthens institutional capacity for the intentional assessment of student learning and academic quality. Through collaboration, professional development, and shared resources, the committee empowers faculty and program chairs, leads meaningful program reviews, and advances a culture of continuous improvement focused on educational effectiveness. Goals
- EEC will formalize a workflow following program review that includes a feedback loop involving the EEC, Provost’s Office, and program chairs.
- EEC will evaluate tools used to judge academic quality and to ensure alignment with institutional needs and current WSCUC standards.
- EEC will lead a series of workshops and colloquia in partnership with CTL and La Verne Academy focused on measuring Learning Outcomes.
- EEC will partner with Institutional Effectiveness/Institutional Research to ensure program chairs have accessible, actionable data.
