Each year, IPEDS (Integrated Post-secondary Education Data System) of the Department of Education sends data feedback reports to institutions that submit data to its collections. The La Verne Data Feedback Reports compare La Verne with its selected comparison group institutions in enrollment, undergraduate admissions, undergraduate tuition and fees, financial aid, retention and graduation rates, degree awards, employees, faculty salary, revenues and expenses, etc.
Since 2005, 26 private four-year colleges and universities have been selected and submitted to IPEDS as the comparison group. The 26 institutions include both peer and aspiring institutions. The Office of Institutional Research consulted an ad-hoc task force and submitted the comparison group list, based on one that has often been used by the Board of Trustees.
