Food and the Body – How Does Your Garden Grow?

April 4, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Spend your lunch break with the HONOR 361 class (Food and the Body) with Dr. Sarah Rodman-Alvarez and visit Baldy View Elementary (part of Upland Unified School District). While there, you will be hearing about why their student garden is an important part of the well-being of the elementary school students.

Why should I be interested in going to an elementary school garden? To see how a local school makes gardening part of childrens’ lives!

Students will be assigned tasks that help the student garden to function (e.g. prepare the soil to be planted).
