A Visionary New Resource

The Randall Lewis Center for Well-Being and Research will provide expanded resources for physical, emotional, and mental well-being; teaching and collaborative research opportunities; and wellness programming for University of La Verne students, faculty, and staff. The Center will also partner with a wide network of community and health organizations to offer fitness opportunities, nutrition and well-being workshops, as well as informational resources that will significantly impact residents throughout Inland Southern California. The Center will be the only one of its kind in the region.

Studies have shown that obesity, diabetes, and lack of access to good nutrition are critical issues in need of intervention in the Inland Southern California region. Additionally, access to well-being and prevention tools in the home, school, workplace, neighborhood, and community have proven to be highly effective intervention strategies.

The University of La Verne already embraces holistic educational values, seeking to educate and nurture the whole student, along with their academic achievement. Now we want to take the next step in realizing our core values. Not just with our students, faculty, and staff, but with Inland Southern California communities and beyond.
