The Professional Development Workshop Series is an introduction to services/resources provided at the Career Center. The series offers ULV students expert guidance to drive career success before and after graduation.
Resume/Cover Letter Development
Learn the fundamentals of creating a competitive resume to reflect professional skills and generate interviews in today’s labor market. A professionally written cover letter will open countless opportunities. This workshop will provide an overview of resume and cover letter resources.
Help! I Need an Internship
This workshop is designed to provide students with guidance and preparation on how and where to secure an internship.
Academic Advising and Registration
This workshop will offer guidance for first-year freshman and transfer students on how to navigate graduation requirements and the registration process. Students will learn how to register for classes and understand general education requirements.
Graduate School Financial Literacy
Learn how to be proactive in creating a financial plan for your graduate education. In this workshop we discuss the types of aid available to graduate students and provide useful financial aid tools and insider tips.
Graduate School Preparation
This workshop will offer guidance on how to navigate the graduate school search process. Students will learn how to conduct research into their desired graduate programs and understand general application timelines. An overview of the required entrance exams and application process will also be provided.
Interviews 101
This workshop will provide strategies for preparing for interviews and expert advice on the interview process from recruiting partner, Enterprise Holdings. Students will also learn more about the university’s mock interview platform, Big Interview.
