The Office of Career Services and Professional Development at the University of La Verne is committed to providing students with career-oriented support to help them succeed in their chosen profession. La Verne’s career counselors help students from start to finish—from choosing a major and simply brainstorming potential career paths to helping them prepare for job interviews.
In addition to general career counseling, La Verne offers mock interviews in-person, over the phone, and online via webcam or email. Our counselors also provide resume and cover letter reviews, as well as assistance with job and internship applications.
Career Services is available for both undergraduates and graduate students alike. For undergraduates considering graduate school before entering their careers, our counselors offer program exploration and application assistance. For current graduate students, counselors also assist in grant, scholarship, and fellowship writing.
The Office of Career Services and Professional Development regularly hosts fairs as well as etiquette and networking dinners that allow students to speak with potential employers. Career development workshops and information sessions are also held regularly. Additionally, students can drop by the Career Services Center during walk-in hours to receive professional development guidance without making an appointment.
These services are offered to all University of La Verne students for life—even after graduation! Whether you are a new graduate or have been in the workforce and are considering a career change, Career Services provides resources for you.
