Why is the University of La Verne conducting a campus climate study?

The University of La Verne is dedicated to fostering a respectful, inclusive university community, and improving the working and learning environment at all University of La Verne campuses. This campus climate study will create a baseline of data that will help us better understand how members of the university community relate to one another on a daily basis. Armed with this knowledge, we can then reinforce what is working and address what is not.

Who participates in the study? Students, faculty, and staff at all University of La Verne campuses are invited to participate in the campus study for diversity and inclusivity. With a goal to make the University of La Verne a model for diversity and inclusion in higher education, we encourage the La Verne community to take part in the survey.
When will surveys be administered? Surveys for Undergraduate and Graduate Students will be online and open from April 21, 2014 to May 19, 2014. During this period you will receive periodic email with a survey link inviting you to participate in the study. The Faculty and Staff surveys will be administered in Spring 2015.
Who is sponsoring this survey? This study is sponsored by the Office of Diversity and Inclusivity and Office of Institutional Research.
How long will it take to complete the survey? The surveys are comprehensive and will take about 20 minutes to complete.
How can I win University of La Verne gear? Students who complete their survey are eligible for drawings to receive a collection of University of La Verne gear (such as clothing, mugs, water bottles, photo frames, etc.) worth at least $100!
