The assessment of Campus Climate examines how students, faculty and staff evaluate their experiences in terms of their satisfaction with academic support services, the teaching environment, organizational structure, policies and procedures and the nature of their engagement. The assessment tools used are primarily self-report measures that are locally developed climate surveys as well as nationally standardized widely used instruments such The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), the UCLA/HERI surveys of CIRP and CSS.
