Spouses and dependents of active duty service members, the National Guard or Reserve, can view the policy and determine eligibility by accessing Military Tuition and Leave Policies.
VA Education Benefits that may be available to you:
- CHAPTER 35 Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance Program
- The Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance (DEA) program offers education and training opportunities to eligible dependents of Veterans who are permanently and totally disabled due to a service-related condition or of Veterans who died while on active duty or as a result of a service-related condition. - NOTE: The VA pays the student directly, therefore participants are required to make a minimum 30% down payment, pay a deferred payment fee of $50 (if not paid in full) and make payment arrangements with the Office of Student Accounts.
- CHAPTER 33 Post 9/11 GI Bill® via Transfer to a Spouse or Dependent
- If you are the spouse of dependent of a veteran who is eligible for Chapter 33, you may be eligible for this VA-administered program. For more information regarding the Post 9/11 GI Bill® Program, please visit here. Yellow Ribbon is available to students with 100% rating while utilizing Chapter 33.
