  • The University of La Verne is joining the African American Male Education Network & Development Organization (A2MEND) in a partnership aimed at fostering educational opportunities and supporting the academic journey of its students and members, as covered by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education.
  • University of La Verne students Maria Estrada and Benjamin Effinger share their military connected stories on Lifetime Network, alongside Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students Juan Regalado and University Archivist and Associate Professor of History Ben Jenkins, each sharing how the University of La Verne helps prepare military connected students for successful careers and meaningful lives during and after their service.
  • Seattle Pacific University’s President and Alumna Deana Porterfield was profiled in the Seattle Times about her experience leading the university through challenges and triumphs.
  • University of La Verne joins in on the 25th Annual Black College Expo with National College Resources Foundation. National College Resources Foundation is a nonprofit educational enhancement organization with a mission to curtail high school dropout rates and increase enrollment among underserved, underrepresented, at risk, low resource, homeless and foster students.
  • Current student Jared Barnes helped co-create a new podcast series titled ‘EDUCATE. ELEVATE.’ with the California Community Colleges’ ICanGoToCollege.com (I CAN). The podcast helps inspire current and prospective Black and African American students to enroll or stay enrolled in a California community college or transfer to a four-year California institution.
  • Director of the Center of Equity and Excellence in Aviation at Denver International Airport and Alumna Stephanie A. Burke shared a Q&A discussion on her career and her center’s mission.
  • Frontier Technology Inc., a defense and intelligence aerospace company, hired alumni Jason Wentz to be their strategic account executive.
