Given the continued spread of COVID-19 and our need to plan for the rest of the academic year, the university is making the prudent decision at this time to remain remote through the spring semester and term.
This academic year may be unlike any other, but I am confident that it will be rewarding and productive. I would like to share with you the following updates on the university’s plans for winter and spring.
Since my message to you on May 30, I have been troubled and charged to action. Not only in coordination with key faculty, staff, and administrators, but also in meetings with community partners on how we can improve our learning and working environment for all.
As a country and as a community, we again find ourselves grappling with painful, but all too familiar, issues around power, privilege, oppression, and racism.
